Jennifer Lawrence makes emergency landing after double-engine failure

Jennifer Lawrence's private jet is forced to make an emergency landing due to double engine failure

Jennifer Lawrence suffered a mid-air scare on Saturday when her private plane was forced to make an emergency landing due to double engine failure. The pilot chose to make an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York, but then things got even scarier when the second engine shut down.

The plane made the emergency landing in Buffalo, N.Y., and emergency vehicles were waiting.

No doubt such a terrifying moment up in the sky...

The Joy star was leaving her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, after spending time with her family.

A request for comment from Lawrence was not immediately returned, says The Hollywood Reporter. The plane was heading from Louisville, Ky., to the Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

The FAA "will investigate" the incident according to the statement.

It's not yet clear if or when the plane left Buffalo. However, until more details have been disclosed, he can not give his certain opinion regarding how serious the incident was.

Oscar-winning actor Jennifer Lawrence is unhurt and safe after her private jet was forced to make an emergency landing.
