Google launches new app to find your lost phone

Google poised to roll out arsenal of services, gadgets

There have been numerous hints that Android Pay was imminently launching in Canada and Russian Federation, so it's nice to finally see the plan put on paper.

If you're still on the fence about whether Google Home will be a great buy for a home like yours that has many smart appliances, the announcement from Google I/O today should finally convince you. Considering how few countries Pay is now out in (just 10), this is big news.

Google recently announced their Google Payment API and now the company has revealed that mobile payments are coming to the Google Assistant. Check the source link below to read about this in more detail.

During a demonstration on stage at Google I/O 2017 this week, the company's product management director for consumer payments Gerardo Capiel gave an example of how a customer could order and pay through Google Assistant with Panera Bread. The newest version of Google Play Store that is now available for APK download is the 7.8.32, and it's compatible with all Android devices, such as smartphones, tablets and even TVs.

The Mountain View search giant has also stated that Assistant can be coupled with Google Lens and now allows users to search for various objects using the smartphone's camera. If you're trying to find a device from a PC web browser, you're still much better off typing "find my phone" into Google, and using the built-in interface to ping it. Also new with Daydream is that users will soon be able to cast their Daydream sessions onto the big screen thanks to upcoming support for Chromecast, and there's a Daydream version of the Chrome browser on the way.

Android O will introduce picture-in-picture which allows YouTube Red users to carry on watching a video while they do other things.

This step will allow Google to help its users to buy online things easily as one can choose its mode of payment and preferred card, enter the code and then just simply check out. That's not to say all markets will get the above features - it's likely the loyalty and peer-to-peer options will remain US -only for a while yet - but it's a good foundation.
