Preds Rally Past Ducks 2-1, Reclaim Series Lead

Filip Forsberg comes through again for Predators against Ducks in Game 3

How it happened: In the franchise's first home game in the conference finals, Nashville nearly played second fiddle to Gibson. Just before he was out of range, Perry banked a wrist shot off Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne and into the net with 4:25 left. Forsberg collected the rebound of Ryan Ellis' shot not far from the Anaheim net and threw the puck into a crowded crease to score for the third straight game.

The Ducks had been 5-0-0 in games they led after the second period, but the Predators didn't let them extend that streak. We have our fans standing up the whole third period, literally, and cheering us on.

"We did a good job", Josi said.

After an overshadowed 43-save outing in Game 1 and a standout 30-save performance in the Ducks' series-tying win in Game 2, Gibson appeared to be taking over this series. Mattias Ekholm's initial shot deflected off Viktor Arvidsson in front of the Anaheim net, and Josi knocked home the rebound.

Filip Forsberg tied it up at 3:54 of the third as the Predators rallied for the win against an Anaheim team that has notched four comeback victories already when trailing by multiple goals this postseason.

The Nashville Predators are trying to take the lead in the Western Conference Final against the Anaheim Ducks.

"You could sense going into the third period, the guys were saying the right things, they were confident", Predators coach Peter Laviolette said.

Roman Josi delivered the go-ahead goal late in the third period.

The Predators held the Ducks without a shot throughout the second period until 8:12 left when Brandon Montour put a backhand on Rinne, a puck that went across the goal line. "I don't know who has keeping it, but he better get a pair of glasses". They might have outscored the Ducks by only one goal, but their efforts were that of a team desperate to overwhelm with aggressiveness and persistent in attempts to capitalize on some undisciplined play by the Ducks. "They came hard. They had their push". "There are not many goals that are going to be scored now that are going to be nice".

Perry's goal came just after the Ducks had a potential score waved off by referee Brad Meier.

“Gibson played great, ” said Forsberg, who scored his sixth of the playoffs.
