Nissan to offer maintenance alerts in foray into connected cars
According to a report in US-based technology website techcrunch.com, Nissan will introduce a notification system on its cars for the first time early next year.

The new service will be enabled by a telematics control unit which will enable the automaker and its dealer network to access information about the car's diagnostics and location, alerting the driver to any required maintenance work. Ford Motor Co. showed a similar interest in connected cars when they announced in October that before 2016 comes to a close, certain Ford models will be able to connect to electronic home assistants like Amazon's Alexa.
