MICHAEL SLAGER: With everything leading up to the shooting, I was exhausted.
But Slager admitted his mind was "spaghetti" during the confrontation.
Slager said during the struggle he realized Scott was much stronger than he was.
Slager testified that even at 18 feet away, Scott still posed a threat to him and could have turned around and charged him.
There are no degrees to the murder charge in SC. Murder carries a penalty of at least 30 years in prison, while voluntary manslaughter is punishable from anywhere from 2 to 30 years behind bars.
On Thursday, the jury wanted to clarify with the judge the difference between the terms "fear" and "passion" as they relate to Slager's charges.

SCARLETT WILSON: He did not want to go to jail that day. She also pulled up evidence photos showing Slager with his radio and earpiece still in place after the shooting.
He described yelling stop and "Taser!"
Hours later, at the police department, there were no scratches or redness or puffiness in the officer's face, Wilson said.
"He never got stressed from being Tased", she told the jury.
"He picked a sorry way to do it". His defense attorneys questioned him about prior foot chases and arrests, noting that Slager had never been reprimanded for use of force before the incident. "At that time, I pulled my firearm and I pulled the trigger".
Wilson had previously played the cell phone video that showed Scott running away with the Taser rolling on the ground behind Slager.
OLGIN: Members of both the Slager and Scott families have been listening to the testimony during the five-week-long trial.
She argued that Slager "knows that Taser is a problem for him".
"There is no good explanation for that".
"What if the man was just fearful of the police?"
"Mr. Scott was shot because of what he did", Savage told the jury. "It's taken 18 months for the state to decide what happened in seconds".
"So, this is not about a brake light", Savage said.
Savage is reported to have held that Michael Slager was justified in shooting Scott because he "chose to attack a police officer".
Slager said he tried to get Scott to listen to his commands several times before the struggle and the shooting.
