Grandma accidentally invites stranger to Thanksgiving dinner, says he can come anyways

Hinton was so surprised by Dench's kind invitation that he took screenshots of their conversation and posted it on his Twitter account

But, what if sweet grandma sends the message to the wrong person? For 17-year-old Jamal Hinton of Phoenix, he may be spending the Thanksgiving holiday with some complete strangers. Hinton, confused by the names, asked who the number was and she replied, "your grandma".

On Tuesday, Hinton received a text from an unknown number inviting him to Thanksgiving dinner at the sender's house.

Hinton and Grandma continued to chat beyond the screenshots, too.

Right off the bat, you can tell this isn't an ordinary grandma, but a cool g-ma thanks to her fluency in emoji.

When she sent a selfie of herself at work, he realized she most definitely was not his grandmother.

Hinton says he jokingly asked if the invitation still stood.

"I though, 'Wow, this lady is really nice", he said. It has since been retweeted over 150,000 times.

For her part, Wench had no clue it had been posted anywhere so when her phone started blowing up she was confused.

"I plan on texting her today and asking for the address to Thanksgiving because, hey, another plate on Thanksgiving is always great", Hinton told Mashable.

Plus, this guy clearly has a good sense of humor because he asked his not-grandma if he could still come to dinner. It turns out, the woman on the other end thought she was texting her grandson, but typed in the wrong number.

By Wednesday morning, she'd received over 650 text messages and dozens of calls and voicemails she ended up having to change her number. "I think this maybe a little more important than what I thought it was.' 'Cause of all the racial tension that's in the country".

Hinton had a hilarious and heartwarming encounter with a grandmother who accidentally texted his number about Thanksgiving plans.
