US Presidential polls 2017: New polls give mixed signals

Some new surveys show Democrat Hillary Clinton's national polling edge narrowing and Republican Donald Trump performing more strongly in the swing state of Florida.

A Fox News national poll released Wednesday showed Clinton at 44 percent and Trump right behind with 41 percent in a four-way race. Obama ultimately won the state by 5 percentage points.

Republicans have attacked outgoing president Barack Obama's signature health care reform since it was passed, but they may find traction after the government confirmed this week that voters' premiums will jump an average of 25 percent next year.

Mr. Ayres called Mr. Trump's campaign "strategically mindless".

"He has turned off women all over America", Reed says, "and it really doesn't matter whether you are an R or a D. We're no different when it comes to that kind of thing".

At a speech later, Mr. Trump insisted that he had wanted to cut the ribbon on his hotel with his children "who had worked very hard" and boasted the building was "under-budget and ahead of schedule".

He said that "with the notable exception of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, this is the most coveted piece of real estate in Washington, DC". She is seeking and gaining support across virtually the entire bourgeois political spectrum on the basis of an intensification of the United States war for regime-change in Syria and an even more aggressive and reckless confrontation with Russian Federation. Marco Rubio's failed GOP presidential campaign. In all, more than 46 million people -or as much as 40 percent of the electorate - are expected to vote before Election Day, Nov. 8.

So far, however, the leaked emails are the utterances of Clinton aides, not Hillary. The Clinton campaign, for its part, is strengthening its orientation to the Republican establishment and wealthier social layers that normally vote Republican but are put off by Trump's overt racism and extreme nationalism and his overall anti-establishment pose.

At least 10 women have since accused Trump of making unwanted sexual advances, including groping or kissing, from the early 1980s to 2007, according to reports in various news outlets.

Trump has loudly denounced the collusion of survey institutions and media outlets with the "liar" and "corrupt" Clinton. That was apparently a reference to reporting that some subcontractors on the projected illegally hired undocumented laborers. She also said numerous products in the hotel's rooms were made overseas.

In lieu of campaigning himself, Trump sent running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, to play political defense in Utah, which hasn't backed a Democrat for president in 52 years. But wins in those states would still leave him well short of the required 270 Electoral College votes. His rally in Omaha may be aimed at shoring up support in the one district that Clinton could potentially win.

Kelly Ward, the executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, said the uncertain trumpets sounded by so many GOP candidates are hurting them twice over: They look unprincipled to anti-Trump voters and disloyal to Trump's ardent backers.

"This election isn't over before it's actually over", Mrs. Clinton said.

"I'm going to repeal it and replace it", he said Tuesday. It quoted her as saying: "We do think there needs to be more American action-not ground forces but some additional help in terms of the military aspect".

Regardless, the aggregate of polls confirms that Clinton is winning.

The Democratic nominee said Wednesday in Lake Worth, Florida, that she believes that Americans are "coming together at the end of this election". Rushton asks her what's motivating her to vote.

"For example, she is doing significantly better among young women", he said.

Clinton is holding two events in Florida Wednesday.

Wednesday was the candidate's 69th birthday, a milestone she celebrated a day early on Univision's entertainment news show "El Gordo y La Flaca", where she was feted with a bottle of tequila and a large cake featuring her face and the White House. But he knows Trump - and doesn't like him.

"If we see a huge split like I think is going to happen", Reed warns, "if Republican moderates are driven further out of the party and if the Republican Party doesn't change the way they approach people and sticks on these wedge issues, they're going to lose".

Trump could not resist firing back.

"Did you see where Biden wants to take me?" To the back of the barn.
