LA Times Tracking Poll: Trump, Clinton Tied

The Investor's Business Daily/TIPP tracking poll has Trump with 42.1 percent and Clinton at 39.7 percent.

Seventy-two percent of Republicans said they support Trump while 88 percent of Democrats back Clinton in the poll, which was conducted October 16-19 among 834 likely Virginia voters, prior to the third presidential debate.

If the 2016 Presidential Election were held today, Hillary Clinton would beat Donald Trump by double-digit, according to a newly-released poll from the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University.

Asked if they intend to vote, 86.1 percent supporting Clinton say they plan to vote, along with 85.7 percent who support Trump.

Clinton had led by 15 percentage points in the CNU tracking poll that was released on Sunday, Oct. 16.

So, too is the apparent one-week drop in support for Johnson, which is down from last week's 11 percent.

Trump topped 50 percent for the first time in the state's south and southwest regions, leading Clinton 51 to 30 percent in those rural and mountain areas.

Among women in the state, Clinton has almost double the percentage of Trump at 47-25 percent.

According to a release, 834 lively voters in Virginia were polled between October 16 and 19. "That ceiling is far to low to win, especially as Clinton's share continues to rise".

But compared to the poll the students conducted in late September, immediately before the first of the three presidential debates, the students found a drop that is deeper than what normal sampling variation would show.

Among Millennials, Clinton leads Trump 45-24 and she holds a lead among voters 35 and older, at 44-36.

The survey found that Clinton has the support of 88 percent of Democrats and Trump has the backing of 72 percent of Republicans. She leads there 57 percent to 21 percent.

"Bluer and bluer voters in suburban Washington, and their like in Richmond and Hampton Roads, far outweigh rural voters preference for Trump".
