WikiLeaks' Assange promises docs on Google, arms, oil, 9/11

Wikileaks boss targeting Hillary Clinton in a new release of 'damaging information', report

Assange, 45, said that as a birthday celebration they will be publishing US-related information over the next few weeks until the election on November 8.

There was significant anticipation surrounding Tuesday's announcement, which was originally set to come from a balcony at the embassy but was reconfigured due to "security concerns". Some of those documents, he said, would deal with the US elections. Some will come this week and are "significant in relation to the upcoming USA election", Assange said.

Assange has publically claimed his group plans to release US documents which will have a dramatic impact on the current US Presidental election campaign.

In the summer, WikiLeaks released hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee showing officials actively favoring Clinton over her primary rival Bernie Sanders.

It is planned to publish new material every week in the next ten weeks, Xinhua news agency quoted Assange as saying in a live video broadcast to Berlin on the 10th birthday of WikiLeaks. Many, including Donald Trump's pitbull, Roger Stone, speculated that it would be an "October surprise" to end Hillary Clinton's run for office.

On why WikiLeaks was holding back, for now, he added that "if we're going to make a major publication in relation to the United States at a particular hour, we don't do it at 3am", referring to the time in the eastern United States.

"WikiLeaks has released 10 million documents over 10 years".

He said the material would focus on war, weapons, oil, mass surveillance, the technology giant Google and the USA election, but declined to give any details.

Instead, the event had a consistent self-congratulatory tone as WikiLeaks journalist and event host Sarah Harrison walked viewers through a summary of the whistleblowing platform's decade of achievements, and Assange only briefly hinted at the news that people really wanted to know. "These are two people who are tormented by their ambitions, in different ways".

Assange has been in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden.

WikiLeaks points out that the UK Government refuses to give any guarantees that Mr. Assange will not be extradited to the United States if he leaves the embassy.

Swedish prosecutors have wanted to interview Mr. Assange since 2010 over sexual assault accusations, but the WikiLeaks publisher has refused to meet with prosecutors in Oslo because he fears he'll be subsequently extradited to the US and tried for espionage over his website's past publications.

Hillary Clinton has a lot of secrets, many of them belong to the state affairs.
